OUR VALUES

TruHope exists to provide a Christ-centered ministry that offers

  • Compassion: We approach everyone with deep compassion, offering a safe and empathetic space for healing and growth. Love and care are the foundations of true transformation.
  • Freedom: We guide individuals to a profound sense of freedom in body, soul, and spirit, helping them overcome obstacles and embrace a life of peace and joy through Spirit-empowered healing.
  • Honor: We honor every person’s intrinsic worth and dignity, respecting their journey and providing a space where their stories are valued.
  • Courage: We inspire individuals to confront their challenges courageously, encouraging them to embrace their healing journey and confidently pursue their God-given potential.

LEGACY OF LOVE

In 2014, Dr. Jack Sheffield reached out to Jan de Chambrier, which led to the creation of TruHope. A strong interest and collaboration developed between Dr. Jack and Anne Marie Sheffield, Steve and Donna Pipkin, Nancy Cook, Greg Oliver, Jan, and Philippe de Chambrier, and others focused on physical and inner healing. This collaboration established the Christ Restoration Center in Houston, led by Nancy Cook and Greg Oliver. Nancy’s profound spiritual experiences, which included training from various conferences and healing ministries such as Beth Shalom, expanded the ministry. In 2017, the center transformed into Christ Restoration Ministries, which later became TruHope, a standalone nonprofit, in 2020.

Despite challenges, including Nancy’s passing in 2021, TruHope adapted to virtual sessions during COVID-19 and has continued to thrive. In 2024, under the leadership of Executive Director Michelle Nance, TruHope began expanding its outreach. TruHope offers workshops, training, and healing services, promoting spiritual growth and community support.

CHILDREN’S SESSIONS

Our interactive sessions for ages 4-18 address emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual needs through hands-on experiences. We provide a safe, non-judgmental space where children can find relief from trauma, anxiety, and stress, fostering emotional and spiritual freedom. By connecting children to Jesus and helping them recognize His voice, we facilitate healing of the mind, will, and emotions, empowering them to overcome challenges and thrive.

Our Children’s Sessions:

  • We talk with you, the parent, before the sessions to become familiar with your child and his/her needs.
  • We are trained in child development.
  • We schedule three 90-minute sessions with your child.
  • We have sessions during the week, the weekends, and school breaks.

OUR BELIEFS

  • We believe there is only one true God who is the eternal King, Creator and Redeemer. God reveals Himself to us as one being in three persons: Father, Son/Jesus, and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; John 14:17-18, 20)
  • We believe that each one of us was created in the image of God to love and grow close to Him (Genesis 1:27), and that His desire is to lavish upon us his immeasurable love (1 John 3:1).
  • We believe that Jesus, born of the Virgin Mary, fully God and fully human was sent to save the world (John 3:17).
  • We believe in the Lordship of Jesus Christ (Revelation 19:16), that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and that he was anointed to proclaim good news to the poor, freedom for the prisoners, recovery of sight for the blind, and to set the oppressed free (Luke 4:18-19).
  • We believe that because He granted us free-will, sin exists in this world and that each of us is broken and hurting and in need of redemption and restoration and that Jesus Christ came to provide us with that restoration: “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10:10).
  • We believe that restoration is available to all who seek it through Jesus: “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). And we believe that only through Christ will we receive true and lasting restoration: “So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed” (John 8:36).
  • We believe that God the Father sent us the Advocate, Comforter, Helper – His Holy Spirit to live within all believers. Through the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to live holy and righteous lives with Spiritual authority to do the works of Jesus, and even greater things (John 14:12).
  • The victorious, redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides freedom from the power of the enemy – sin, lies, sickness, and torment (1 Corinthians 15:57; Romans 8:1; Romans 6:14).
